Walking Rotation

I used to trivialize walking as a form of "true" exercise until I realized how walking can really firm your fanny and saddle bags. The funny thing with walking is that it can be totally leisurely or it can be a full fledged, sweat-your-ass-off workout - it's all what you make it. I find with walking that it is important that I wear my heartrate monitor because I can very easily fall into a slow pace.

Here is a good beginner 12 week walking rotation. Just get that Ipod out and enjoy some nice spring air - it does a soul good!

One of the things that I like best about walking is that it doesn't have to FEEL like a workout!

As much as I love to exercise, I don't always feel like being all "gung-ho" about the experience. A brisk walk can work off some calories and give cardiovascular benefits while at the same time allowing you to just enjoy being outdoors. :)
