Same

152 Well I survived the weekend without going up on the scale. Our daughter slept over at her friend's house on Saturday nite for the Kids Choice Awards so we ordered out. At first we were going to get a calzon (which I love) but Chris wanted Chinese so he won out. It was probably the best thing for my diet. I don't really go overboard with Chinese food because I don't really care for it that much. I am doing pretty well with having a cheat meal then getting right back on track. But if I want to lose this month I have to not have any cheats. I sure hope I can go a whole month without cheats .. it will be tough!

I did Complete Aerobics and Weight Training today (CAWT). I was totally dreading it for some reason. Maybe because it is so long and I was tired. Spring break was last week so I was able to sleep in somewhat each day. I'm glad it is over though! I am repeating week 4 of C25K this week. Taking it slow. My goal is to get to 145 by the end of this month. I missed March's goal of 150 by 2 lbs - ugh. Easter totally threw me off! It is coming off but very slowly. That is ok I just really want to be 135 by July 4th.

Small Business Loan

My husband has been working like a fiend lately on a website project he is doing with his brother. They are setting up a web 2.0 sort of site and we are hoping to become millionaires out of it. Wouldn’t that be nice! I’ve been thinking positive thoughts in order for this to happen LOL. Chris has turned into a small business himself with all of his programmer and website projects. We are talking about getting an LLC in order to officially be a business. With this new website project comes expenses – the same as starting a small business. We are thinking about taking on a small business loan in order to help with the expenses of getting the website off the ground. If we are cheap to begin with then I don’t think it will take off. Chris’ brother is also very good with the business side of things and Chris is good with the computer aspect so I think this is wonderful idea and that we will be successful at it. Chris is just nervous about taking out a loan but it really is essential to the success of the website. There are hosting, advertising, design costs– just to name a few. It takes money to make money!

EZUnsecured.com has an easy process and fast processing. I am hoping that they will be about to get this seriously running by the summertime.

Missed

152.5 Yeah I was down today! Not by a whole lot but I'll take it. I only had a salad for dinner last night because my daughter was out with her friend for dinner and a movie (Spring break week). I have done pretty well this week not having wine but I have been having a few vodkas at night. It doesn't seem to slow my progress. I started taking Hairtopia vitamins to help my hair grow. They have a lot of amino acids and today my ketostix were in trace so I'm not sure if the vitamins effect that. As long as the hunger stays away I really don't care what color the sticks are. I'm still enjoying my sprouted grain in the mornings (well at noon - I eat b'fast at noon). It really has helped to keep me regular for which I am forever grateful.

I think with C25K I am going to repeat weeks. I repeated week 3 and I am going to repeat week 4 next week. There is no rush. Consistency is what I am aiming for. Today on the menu is W4D3 and Supercharged sculpting. I think my butt is getting firmer - now I just wish I could see it and not only feel the difference - if that makes any sense.

Work was crazy crazy busy yesterday - fun quoting time!

My goal was to be 150 by the end of the month (well by Sat) and I am sure I won't lose 2.5 lbs overnight so next month I am going to have to be spot on if I want to make my goal of 135 by 4th of July. No cheat days in April. There aren't any birthdays or holidays in April so hopeful the socializing will be a minimal amount. My father has surgery for prostate cancer on 4.17 so I am sure we will go up there to see him before the procedure. That's the only thing going on in April (knocking on wood).

PS I am doing 1 word post titles because I hope to switch this blog over to wordpress soon. No more typepad payments soon!

Trouble

So I ordered some hair vitamins to help my haircut disaster grow out quicker. These were not cheap vitamins so I didn’t mention my purchase to my husband. Well I was in the shower when the package came so he found them. He was so mad at me! This lead to a lengthy talk/lecture about the importance of paying our credit cards off. Last year when we bought our new house and kept our other house to rent we really accrued a lot of credit card debt in order to get the house in rentable condition. It has taken us a year to get a lot of it paid off but in no way completely paid off. I told him that we still have to live life and enjoy what we have. There was a time in our past where we had to use a payday loan just to make it until the next check - that was a tough time for us! If you aren't sure what one of these loans are take a look at payday loans archive. We aren’t there anymore yet we still have debt – the American way I guess!

Update

153 Well I have lost a few lbs this month but my goal was to be 150. I was 153 today and I know I won't make my goal by the end of the month. That stinks but I majorly screwed up at Easter. I just couldn't stay away from the candy and desserts. It was like I turned into an eating monster. April should be a quiet month - no birthdays or events. The only 'event' is that my father is getting 'seeds' (radiation treatment) for his prostate cancer. He can't be within 10 feet of the kids for like 2 months. He has friends that have had this treatment and it was very successful. We are just praying and believing everything will turn out fine - which it will.

I am on week 4 of Couch to 5 K. That is going well and I love intermixing the treadmill with the Firm workouts. Chris said he has noticed a difference in my butt.

I am sticking to my 2 meals and no snacks rule and that seems to be working. I am not sure how consistent my weigh ins are this week because my daughter is on spring break and I have been sleeping later and not weighing at the exact same time everyday.

Workout today: C25K: W4D2; Body Sculpt Blaster

Tanning

I sure can’t believe that summer is right around the corner. My daughter is on Spring break this week so I know that summer is coming soon! Last year I was so stupid and decided to tan. I haven’t done that in years but they have these new lights that are suppose to be healthier for your skin. Hum … I am not convinced. The thing about tans is that they make you look so much thinner! Amazingly thinner. But I am not going to risk it anymore. I am 39 this year and just can’t afford anymore wrinkles or sagging. This year I am going to use an all natural spf 30+ Zinc Oxide Sunscreen and use self-tanner on top. The tanning salon does do the spray tans which my mother did last year and it turned out very nice.

Domains

Ugh what a nightmare! I stupidly deleted my domain account at Yahoo before getting the code needed to transfer. I am trying to transfer all of my domains (which there are too many) onto Bluehost. What a pita. I came to learn yesterday that I could've just kept the domain registered somewhere else and hosted on Bluehost. So it is all a learning curve. I just hope they will transfer the domain ... since I paid to have it transfered. Anyway, that is why I haven't posted for awhile. Domain NIGHTMARE ...

Insurance Costs

I finally sat down to do bills yesterday and Chris and I are trying to think of ways to cut back on expenses. Not an easy thing to do now-a-days! Insurance costs for us are huge – medical, life, dental, vision, car, home insurance – wow it all adds up! But you certainly don’t want to go without insurance.

Our home insurance costs are pretty high on the rental properties so I’ve decided to get some quotes online to see if I can save money. It isn’t that easy with rental properties though. Our car insurance has actually gone down this quarter but I think because we both work at home and don’t drive the car much and haven’t had any accidents (knocking on wood right now) it isn’t too bad.

My sister pays a ton for her van insurance. She’s a crazy mini van driving mom who has gotten a few speeding tickets so that doesn’t help. She went online last week to get a quote and ended up saving a few hundred dollars. I think it’s important to continue to get quotes because its easy to just go into renewal and not shop around. Shopping all of the available carriers will definitely save money it is just a matter of sitting down for a few and doing it.

Sprouted Grain

I have to write a post just on the gloriousness of Sprouted Grain bread. My sister has been eating it for years because it was recommended in a Raw Foods book she read. I decided to try it even though I eat low-carb. OMG it has helped me so much! My am much more 'regular' (low-carb can be terribly constipating) and it eliminates my cravings for bread. I allow myself 1 piece with butter and a scrambled egg with cheese everyday for breakfast (or lunch because I eat b'fast at noon). It is in the frozen section in the grocery store so try it out!

Stay Young!

My sister and I were going through old pictures last night looking for hair styles. I was looking through her wedding album (she had a small beach wedding with only a few people) and I couldn’t believe how young I looked. I was 27 so that was almost 12 years ago. I want my skin to look like that again LOL.

So from hair we moved onto skin. Taking great care of your skin and eating and exercising is the best way to stay young looking. So last night I set off to find more info regarding skin. Skin Dimensions Online has a huge selection of high quality natural skincare products. So take a look if you are in the market for new skincare products. Consistency and regular use of natural products has really helped my skin. I wish I had taken better care of it when I was in my 20’s!
