Down

148.5 Yeah I am back into the 40's!! I've had a good week so far but I've been sleeping a bit late so working out before taking my daughter to school hasn't panned out so well this week. I am scheduled to do Aerobic Body Shaping today but I am wasting my time on the computer this morning. I have to get motivated. I think I had too many vodka's last night due to my stupid sister (the backstabber) not even calling my dad before his surgery on Thursday (prostate cancer). Ugh this stress sucks! I just hope I can stay on track with eating when we are at the hospital on Thursday. Stress makes me eat, routine makes me stay on track.

Swimsuits

I have been working my butt off for the last 5 months trying to lose this weight and get in shape and I need to show it off a little bit. I am so tired of hiding behind huge sweatshirts and baggy jeans. I really need to finally take the step and order a bathing suit. For some reason I am a bit nervous about that. I have to buy one soon because selection goes down and prices go up the closer we get to summer. I have trouble buying swimsuits because I am full busted. I also have a hard time finding full busted lingerie. Hey, that’s needed to keep a marriage alive! I have to go out and try some things on but I have this problem of when I try things on in the store I get depressed because I don’t think I look good. That is why I am a ‘buy clothes online’ person then try on in the comfort of my own home!

Bad Weekend

150 I didn't have the best weekend with regards to eating this week. I spent all day on Saturday doing taxes and my nerves were shot by the end of the day. When I am stressed I tend to say .. screw the diet. So Chris went and got takeout. I got a meatball parm and chips, he got chinese. I couldn't stomach anymore chinese food! I need to get focused because I really want to convince Chris to go on this vaction to NC. We haven't gone on a week long vacation in years. If we do that then it is such motivation to get in bikini shape!

He wants to buy a piano instead of going on vacation so I have to try to convince him to do both. Ugh he is a tough egg to crack!

I didn't workout this weekend and spent the entire morning jonesing for the new firm workouts. I really want to get them and do the website rotation next week with running / walking also. Ugh I am expensive today! I was up to 151 on Sunday but back down to 150 today. My goal is to get to 149 by Friday!!

Getaway

After spending the weekend working on the dreaded taxes I decided that I need a break. I am trying to convince my husband to go on a vacation this summer. Nothing too far but I would love to go to the beach. The beach houses here in NJ are incredibly small and super expensive. I took at look at Wilmington NC vacation rentals and OMG I found some awesome rental properties at very reasonable prices. I was specifically looking for a condo on the beach and I found plenty for under $1000 for a week during the summer. The great thing about rental properties is that you can make meals at home and not have to eat out at every meal. That saves so much money. I went to North Carolina (camping) when I was in college and it was just gorgeous there. Off to bug my husband …

UP

150 Ugh I feel like I am so off-track this week! I've spent the last 2 nights at my sister's house since her husband was away on business. I just get off-track if I am not at my own house. I was down .5 yesterday but back up today. Kelley is having a hard time staying on track and I think that is effecting me. I am so hungry and focused on food lately. Must get into ketosis -- soon! I didn't even workout today. My back was killing me from sleeping on my nephew's twin bed. I must have my bed or I get cranky!!!

I came across a really cool article about the benefits of doing a walk/run program instead of consistently running. I am going to do this - I just have to figure out my ratio of walking to running. I am thinking 3 minutes run, 2 walk but I read that 1:1 would probably be better. I will play around with it ...

Wakeboarding

My husband was commenting yesterday about how my sister and her husband are so good at finding different and fun activities for their kids. We tend to be a bit boring. This summer I would really like to get my daughter into some fun physical activities. She tends to not to like to try new things so we are going to push her more this summer.

My BIL just went on a business trip to Costa Rica and was talking to coworkers about Liquid Force wakeboards. His son is an avid skateboarder so this sounds like such a fun activity for the summer. Basically wakeboarding is a combination of skateboarding, water skiing, snowboarding and surfing. The person is pulled by a motor boat. We live very close to the Delaware River so we think we might try it there first. Although we aren’t that far from the shore either.

My nephew is great on any board LOL. The wakeboards come in some pretty cool designs. I can see this becoming his new obsession!

Up

150 Ugh I am up .5 today so my time in the new decade of the 40's was short lived. I have been having the worst CRAVINGS LATELY! I am dying to go out to eat and have a huge burger with french fries and wine. I don't know why I am so hungry. It's like I can't seem to get back into my groove since I had the stomach flu last week. My BIL is away too so I have been helping my sister a lot with the kids. I am spending the night at her house tonite and tomorrow nite so I just hope I can stay on plan.

I did workout today with the Firm. I did Total Muscle Shaping. That is a great workout!

Shopping

I am trying very hard not to do too much shopping lately. My husband has been on my case about not spending money. He just loves to save money. I truly believe it is a hobby of his. Unless of course he needs new electronic equipment. He loves to shop for deals on Mac computers, laptops and software from Apple Store, Mac Connection, Macmall and BestBuy.com. I personally love to shop for hair products, makeup, shoes and purses. I am not much of a clothes shopper because I hate to try clothes on. I find it terribly depressing. Although I do love to shop at Old Navy. I found an online coupon site that has coupons for many stores including Old Navy, Target and Walmart.

My sister and I might go out shopping today if she can get my mother to watch the small kids. I am just dying to go out for lunch today and then go shopping. I know I should not do that and I should just stay home instead but I am dying to get out of the house for some reason. Chris has been a bear to live with for the past few days so that is probably the reason too.

New Decade

149.5 OMG I am so excited today! I have finally made it into the 40's - A NEW DECADE!! I haven't been in the 40's since before I got pregnant over 10 years. I know I am barely into this decade but at least I'm here! I am a bit nervous because I am having some major cravings for restaurant food. I am dying to go to TGIF and have one of their Jack Daniel's burgers. Oh my those are good! With a glass of wine - just heaven I tell ya!

Back on the workout wagon this week after I fell off last week due to my stomach flu. I didn't exactly do C25K but I ran a straight 10 minutes. I might just start doing that and adding on minutes. The stopping and starting of running is a bit difficult. It almost seems easier to just keep going rather than stop and walk then start running again. Takes too long for me to get into my 'groove'.

New Job

My husband just started his job last August and he really doesn't change jobs that often. He pretty much likes it because it is a work from home job. He’s a programmer so it is pretty easy for him to do all his work remotely. Well recently many people have quit his department. He works for a large company but the department is pretty small. He just found out last week that the director of the department is leaving because there is a conflict with his boss. It sounds like it is a personality conflict. Chris is happy because his boss is super intense but I think he should start looking for other IT jobs just in case they get rid of the department. There are a ton of software engineer jobs in our area and it also seems as though many are telecommuting positions so why not just keep an eye open for a new opportunity (hopefully more money too!)
